Remix Something

Well, it's Day 1 of the 21-Day Challenge: Remix Something. I am not a fashion blogger, and have never participated in a 30 for 30, so I really wasn't sure what to remix...Finally, I decided to just pick a shirt I like:
I got this shirt at a thrift store after seeing lots of people wearing striped shirts. It was about 4 sizes too big, and very oddly shaped, but a little work with a sewing machine, and it's now awesome.
Shirt: Thrifted, Jeans: Target, Ring: wedding

I've seen a lot of people who are pairing stripes with patterns, which was ALWAYS a huge no-no (or so I thought). I'm hoping to step outside my bubble a bit and pair this with things I thought would never work.

In a small twist for myself, I'm not going to apologize for how awful my photos are. Who cares? :)

  1. Haha I love your sassy pose so much. Your hair looks fantastic and the rolled jeans are pitch perfect. Good start, Miss Micoe!

  4. Hee! I did the same thing (picked a striped top). Except I would have no idea how to alter a big one from a thrift store, so I bow to you.

  7. I'm just so tickled. I was going through the flickr photos and all of a sudden, "Is that who I think it is?"
You are looking fabulous, Nicole! Your Katie is pretty adorable, too.
And you have no need to apologize for your pictures- I had to beg for help because I'm not talented enough to take self-portraits. Especially not ones as fun as yours!

  10. I recently thrifted a striped top too, but mine is darker gray and black and way too hot for August. My photos are phone pics taken by a 6 year old, so your self-photos can't possibly be worse!
