So What if I Already Blogged Once Today?

I had to blog again, if only to make the announcement that:

*insert fanfare here*

I Have a Job Next Year!

And it's even in the field in which I graduated. Sure, I'm not getting hired in History, but that wasn't really expected. No friends, I am going to be, as my mom so kindly put it, a nerdy physics teacher next year at a local high school.

All of those hard times in physics classes now seem so worthwhile. I guess I better brush up on my basic high school physics concepts though...I got a lot of learnin' (or re-learnin') to do before I start teaching students the phun of physics.

Also, in case you were wondering, the donut place hasn't called me back. I think I might have been rejected from that particular job. Oh well. News like this certainly softens the blow!

Time to Make the Donuts!

Once upon a time, there was a lovely young woman who graduated from a good college.

This lovely young woman had a wonderfully smart and funny husband, who, being not short on charms, managed to be chosen for a quest in a far away land.

For the first little while there, the young woman looked forward to days in which she could sleep in, unpack, and wait patiently for her knight to come home from his days of exploration.

Then the maiden began to get bored. She began to wish for a paper to write, or a quest of her own to work at. So the maid set out on her own quest--a quest to find a quest.

Sadly, although the maid was quite qualified for all the quest to which she applied, she failed to have the one thing that all the quest-assigners were looking for...

...long term commitment.

With a somewhat heavy heart, the maiden trudged into her local grocery store. She saw that they offered a quest--one from 4:30 am until 12:30 pm--and thought that they might not care that she didn't have a long term commitment to give...and she could fry small, sugary pastries to be enjoyed throughout all the land.

The maid still waits to hear from the quest-assigners about whether or not she will be assigned the quest. But, to this moment, she is very amused that her first position, right out of college could be a donut fryer.
