Nate and I decided that we'd clean our rings last night, and so we put them in the jewelery cleaner that came with my engagement ring with the warranty last night before going to bed.
Then I forgot to put my rings back on this morning...oops. My hand felt naked all day.
I even said to my co-teaching partner, "Man...I bet Nate'll forget his ring too."
I came home today, and Nate gives me a look of disappointment, while staring at my left hand. We both broke down laughing, while Nate confessed that he forgot his ring too. We both then talked about how weird it was, and we were laughing. Then Nate said...
"I kept my hand in my pocket for most of the day."
And that's why I love him.

ReplyDeleteI have a great many stashes of the cheap aluminum ring that inspired my wedding ring, since I've become amazingly prone to forgetting where I put it. I don't even know why I take it off. But there's always a backup!
