HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

Oh my goodness.  Today has been A.MAZ.ING.  Also, it's not over.  This has definitely been my best birthday in years.

To start things off, I woke up early so I could open a few presents from Nate before he dashed off to provide for all of us here at home.  I got a really sweet present from my parents which I won't disclose because I think my sister might be getting the same thing (PS:  Emily, you're going to love it.).  I got a gift card to a fabric store and a thimble from Nate (I kept poking my figure pretty badly a little while back on a project) and those were both really sweet, and then I got to talk to some people in my family and make Katie and myself an awesome breakfast. Just in case you want to make yourself an awesome breakfast too, here's the recipe:

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Pancakes
1 Cup Flour
2 T Sugar
1/3 C Chocolate Chips
1 T Baking Powder
1/3 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Egg
1 Cup Milk
2 T Oil

Mix dry ingredients together in one bowl, then mix Peanut butter on down in another bowl, mix together.  Bake over medium heat for 2-4 minutes each side, devour.

I don't have any pictures of them...because we ate most of them, and I kind of burned some a little.  They tasted just fine, but they're not really photograph worthy.  Also, you probably already know what a pancake looks like.  You should totally make these, because they're delicious.  We ate them plain with a little butter, but I'm sure you could go much crazier than that.

Anyway, then I did a little sewing, hung out with Katie, and got showered and dressed for the day.  Then, I got a buzz at my door, and UPS was here.  I opened the door and there he was with the most exciting birthday present of the day:  A New Sewing Machine!!
This picture is SO hideous of me, but it's totally how I feel about this present.
Yeah...it's been a great day so far.  I can't even imagine how I'll feel about it tomorrow.
